Powershell is an amazing piece of command line software that is now included in Windows.  It is close to DOS, but is much more powerful.  For administrators, it is the blood of the system and allows them to quickly run scripts to handle things on the system, create new users, work with permissions and much more.

How to Open a PowerShell Command Window as an Administrator

In Windows 10:

  • Click Start
  • Type: Powershell
  • Right-click Windows PowerShell and select Run as Administrator
