When you try to open or clear out your recycling bin you get an error message that states: The Recycle Bin on C:\ is Corrupted. Do you want to empty the recycling bin for this drive?  We need to fix this error before you will actually be able to remove everything from your recycling bin.  This is making a delete on your computer.  If you are nervous about this, I highly suggest backing up your hard drive to an external drive first before making any of these changes.  If you mistype something and delete everything it could kill your computer.  ** Always Backup Your Hard Drive **

  1. Launch an Administrator Command Prompt
  2. Type: rd /s /q C:\$recycle.bin
  3. Press the Enter button to run
  4. Restart the computer
  5. Launch the recycling bin
